Ryan O'Reilly Reveals the Shocking Moment He Realized His Finger Was Broken
Ryan O'Reilly has been out due to an injury and has been forced to miss quite a few games. The incident occurred during a match against the Canucks on March 4th, O'Reilly took a shot directly to his hand from his own teammate, Auston Matthews, after the puck hit his hand he left and has not returned.
He has been out since the 4th, and many have wondered what happened to O'Reilly. He was recently spotted at a Leafs practice wearing a red «no contact» jersey, which is a good sign.
O'Reilly Discusses his Injury
Insider David Alter recently Tweeted that O'Reilly did not realize how badly he was injured until he noticed that his finger was crooked. Alter stated that O'Reilly is better and that he is playing it smart.
Ryan O'Reilly didn't know how bad his injury was during the game in Vancouver until he went back to the room and saw that his finger was «crooked». Says he's feeling better and now it's just about being smart about the injury.
It is clear that O'Reilly is playing it safe so that he is at the top of his game for the playoffs. Hopefully O'Reilly is getting some good practice in so that he can help the Leafs make a good run in the playoffs
