Multiple Maple Leafs Break Their Silence Regarding Samsonov's Poor Play
After another bad performance by Ilya Samsonov in Buffalo, several of his Leafs teammates have broken their silence regarding his poor play.
Samsonov Has Poor Game Against Buffalo
Samsonov has been struggling lately, there is no question about that. When the Leafs went out in Buffalo and laid an egg in front of him, there was no saving the day, either.
After the game, two of the Leafs teammates in Martin Jones and William Nylander spoke about Samsonov's rough patch, and how they are there to support him through this time.
"We have all been through it and we feel for each other, so honestly, it's just something where you try to be a good teammate and push each other in practice," said Martin Jones. "I don't have any doubt that we will get it turned around."
Nylander echoed the comments, saying that Samsonov is a great goaltender, and he will get back there one day.
"We didn't go out there and help him throughout the game (in Buffalo). We didn't make it easy on him. We're there to help him get through it. We know what kind of goalie he can be. He will be there again."
Leafs Shake Lines Up Ahead of Game Tonight Against the Blue Jackets
After the blowout loss to the Sabres, Sheldon Keefe was to quick to change up the lines for the Leafs, hoping to spark a new fire under them before a brief holiday break. Martin Jones is expected to start tonight against the Blue Jackets.
