Mitch Marner's Father's Reaction to John Tavares 1000th Point Causes Serious Concern

Last night, John Tavares scored his 1000th point to help tie the game against his former Islanders up during the final seconds of regulation.

Immediately after the goal was scored, Tavares' father went viral for his reaction to his son's point.

However, fans were quick to point out the lack of reaction from Mitch Marner's father, Paul Marner. As seen in the bottom left of the video above, Marner has essentially no reaction which fans have questioned.

Paul Marner was a large factor in Mitch Marner's contract holdout years ago and helped the Leafs phenom get nearly $11 million annually. Seeing Paul Marner's lack of reaction to the goal is worrying if the Leafs want to resign his son next offseason and not risk him walking in free agency, then they may need to pay even more than normal.

Hopefully, Marner will see the potential with this current group and take a slight pay cut to play with the team but with the Leafs, nothing is completely out of the picture.
