Marner opens up about the arrest of the carjackers

Mitch Marner got some amazing news today as the men who carjacked him soon after the Maple Leafs' first-round exit in 2022 were arrested.

Marner Comments on Getting Justice

While the carjacking from nine months ago is clearly not getting the way of his on-ice play, as he leads the Maple Leafs with 79 points, Marner has commented on finally getting justice.

It's great because that problem has been going on for a while now in Toronto.

It's pretty hard to try to narrow down to who people are because of what they're doing, what they're wearing and hiding their face so well I think it just puts a lot of trust in the Toronto Police, just knowing that they're getting the job done and they're not stopping, and they're trying to fix this problem.

It's finally good that I don't have to probably talk about it anymore, to be honest.

It's a moment you don't want anyone to be a part of. It's a scary situation..

It's nice to have the closure.

Clearly, Marner is relieved not only that his own case has been dealt with, but that Toronto Police are addressing the rampant carjacking issues in the city.

He equally just sounds relieved that this chapter of his life is over... as he should be.
