The Toronto Maple Leafs reunited with Luke Schenn at the trade deadline. After having drafted him 5th overall, he returned for a 3rd round pick.

While he is now a Toronto Maple Leaf, he spent over a year as a Vancouver Canuck under Bruce Boudreau,

Boudreau has now given huge props to Schenn for his unwavering support.

Boudreau Shows Support for Schenn

Bruce Boudreau's divorce with the Vancouver Canucks was messy. Almost everybody knew who his would successor would be over a month before he was fired.

In a recent interview, however, Boudreau revealed there was one player who stood up to management in support of him - Luke Schenn.

Boudreau on Schenn: He would go upstairs and talk to management and say...

"Hey listen, what are doing? Bruce is doing a great job."

It got to the point where management was prepared for Schenn:

"Luke's coming upstairs again. Everyone hide!! Patrik lock your door!!"

Schenn's now brought his leadership to the Leafs, and hopefully it will be an important piece in getting them past the first round.

Could Boudreau join the Leafs coaching staff one day? I know one player that would be pretty happy!
