It's no secret that the Tampa Bay Lightning came into the playoffs banged up. After three straight shortened off-seasons, it was bound to catch up them at one point.

We now know how badly they were injured, and it is rather shocking.

Long List of Tampa Injuries

Going to three straight cup finals in well less than three calendar years is pretty incredible.

The Lightning are all but a modern dynasty, and they've been one of the most dangerous teams in the league for five years. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, as they fell to the triumphant Leafs in round one.

We now know, however, that they were very banged up in the process.

#Bolts injuries from TOR series listed below. Still have to do exit physicals today.
-Jeannot, high ankle sprain
-Eyssimont, concussion-like symptoms
-Cernak, concussion. Wouldn't have been cleared yet, but progressing
-Hedman, hip impingement
-Point, rib cage cartilage fracture

So, Jeannot wasn't a healthy scratch after all, but it was a pretty easy decision to scratch him.

As for Brayden Point, he truly is a warrior! He's been unlucky with injuries the past two playoffs, but he fought as hard as he could.

This years' Leafs were just too good, and fighting through Tampa in round one is just a sign of what's to come.
