The Colorado Avalanche lost key players from their second line. After Gabriel Landeskog announced that he would miss all of the playoffs, Valeri Nichushkin had to leave the team.

His mysterious departure from the team left fans with many questions, as it was reported that he was escorted by security.

The series between Colorado and Seattle is much tighter than anticipated, and the Avs could really use a player like Nichushkin in their lineup right now. But there's not much hope for an imminent return.
"Jared Bednar on Altitude Radio said he doesn't know if Valeri Nichushkin will be back during this series. He reiterated that the situation is personal in nature."
