Despite being a team with some of the best players in the League, the Pittsburgh Penguins are battling hard to just make the playoffs this season.
The Penguins have had a impressive streak of 16 consecutive seasons of making the playoffs, but right now are in risk of missing as they are chasing a wild card spot.
Ahead of their game vs the Minnesota Wild Penguins General Manager Ron Hextall has made an emergency roster move recalling forward Alex Nylander from their AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.
Nylander was once a highly touted prospect being drafted by the Buffalo Sabres 8th overall in the 2016 draft but hasn't been able to live upto the potential. Nylander has a 25 goals, and 25 assists in 55 games this season an AHL career high.
