John Tortorella gives the coldest press conference of the season after recent loss
The Philadelphia Flyers' head coach John Tortorella gave the coldest press conference of the season after yesterday's loss against the Florida Panthers.
The coach was asked to comment on his goaltender performance by a reporter and simply walked out of the room, 39 seconds after he started his press conference.
Flyers lose against the Panthers 4-1 as goalie Felix Sandstrom struggles despite receiving only 14 shots
Flyers' head coach John Tortorella walks out of press conference after only 39 seconds following a question on goaltender Felix Sandström's struggles last night against the Florida Panthers
He's once again making the headlines, but this time, for walking out of a press conference after a stupid question from a reporter.
He started the interview by stating how he thought the game went down for his team:
"I thought we played really well," Flyers coach John Tortorella said. "Couldn't score. Their goalie played really well."
Then, he was asked if he thinks the goalie, Sandstrom, could've made more saves during the game.
He simply stood there, shook his head and shrugged, before leaving the room.
"John Tortorella was asked if he thinks Felix Sandström could have made some more stops after a shaky game
Tortorella put his arms up and shrugged a bit then walked out. 39 second presser tonight. "
This looks like a classic Torts moment. We already knew that he didn't like to be asked obvious questions, but this reached a new level.
At this point of the season, Tortorella met with the media hundreds of times already, and it's also possible that it could be slowly wearing him out.
