Whenever the Tkachuk brothers face off, things are bound to get out of hand. Unfortunately, yesterday, this left a player motionless on the ice.
Matthew Tkachuk had high expectations set for him when the Calgary Flames traded him for 115-point playmaker Jonathan Huberdeau, first-pairing defenseman Mackenzie Weegar, a first-round pick, and prospect Cole Schwindt.
Now a full season later, Tkachuk has exceeded these expectations significantly, and is likely to receive Hart votes.
There were ten ejections and 168 combined PIMS in the game, making it one of the craziest matchups of the season. Luckily, DeBrinact appears not to be too injured.
