The Department of Player Safety was busy over the night and this morning, as they reviewed various plays that occurred last night. Among them was a hit on Canucks goaltender Casey DeSmith, which resulted in a fine for Predators forward Michael McCarron. However, there was silence on Rempe's hit.
Good. Now what about Matt Rempe's illegal headshot hit to a vulnerable, defenseless player. 🙄
The deadline for the DoPS to make a call is 5PM EST. Now that that deadline has passed, we now know for sure that Rempe will not be facing any supplementary discipline for the hit on TVR.

Capitals fans won't be a fan of this decision but Rempe and the Rangers will gladly take it. The rookie forward has been extremely noticeable in the series despite playing limited ice time. He will likely continue to haunt the Capitals in game four.
