Scary Scene in the NCAA as Top Player is Transported to Hospital
It was a scary scene as New Jersey Devils prospect Case McCarthy was transported to hospital last night.
McCarthy Hospitalized
Case McCarthy, an alternate captain for the Boston University Terriers, and a fourth-round pick of the New Jersey Devils in 2019, was transported to hospital last night after a scary collision into the boards.
Reportedly, McCarthy suffered a broken collarbone, which will almost certainly end his season.
Tied with Canadiens prospect Lane Hutson on one of the best defensive pairings in the NCAA, this will be a big hit for BU as they try to make an impact in the Hockey East playoffs.
Coach Jay Pandolfo commented on the injuries:
It's always scary to see one of your players and teammates go down like that. The good news is, he got up. He's got movement in all of his extremities so that's good news; he's doing very well.
Hopefully McCarthy can make a full recovery for next season, as his journey to the NHL continues.
