Canadiens Kirby Dach Leaves Game After Getting Hit to the Head vs the Senators
Tonight the Montreal Canadiens have lost yet another player to injury as Kirby Dach is not returning to tonight's game after suffering a head injury.
Kirby Dach has returned to tonight's game after leaving against the Ottawa Senators due to a big hit he took. Upon returning to the lineup he immediately scored.
Coming down the left-hand side of the ice Kirby Dach centered the puck off of an Ottawa Senators defenseman and past goaltender
Linus Ullmark to put the Canadiens up 2-0.
As the first period of tonight's preseason game between the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators came to a close, another injury struck the Canadiens.
Forward Kirby Dach was hit in the head by Senators forward
Ridly Greig. The call on the ice was a major penalty assessed to Ridly Greig.
After a review by the referees, it was determined to just be a minor penalty. Regardless Kirby Dach was seen heading to the locker room right after the hit.
This injury continues the frustrating injury luck for both the Montreal Canadiens and Kirby Dach during his career. Of course this week the Canadiens have lost both
Patrik Laine and
David Reinbacher to knee injuries.
With this new injury looking to be a head injury it is possible the time he misses could be less significant than his previous 2 injuries. However, the repeated injuries for Kirby Dach compounded with the Canadiens' already frustrating season and now led to a lot of frustration among fans.
As more information is revealed on Kirby Dach's injury and his potential timeline to return we will pass it along to you.
