Brendan Gallagher Receives A Major Suspension
Tonight the NHL's Department Of Player Safety has decided on a punishment for Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher after last night's incident. A post on X confirms that Gallagher will be suspended for the maximum five games allowed after a phone hearing.
Montreal's Brendan Gallagher has been suspended for five games for an illegal check to the head on NY Islanders' Adam Pelech.
Many fans and media around the league are already upset with this decision. The aggression of the hit warranted a much longer suspension in the eyes of many. Regardless Gallagher will now be out for five games unless he decides to appeal and wins.
