Marc-Andre Fleury will return for another season for Minnesota
In breaking news this morning, it has been reported that Marc-Andre Fleury will return for another season of NHL hockey with the Minnesota Wild after signing an extension.
This was unexpected news, as all signs pointed to Fleury's potential retirement after this season. While he did make a few comments just a few weeks ago about potentially returning if the cards aligned, there was seemingly a high chance that Fleury was going to retire from the NHL after this season.
However, that is not the case, apparently. Frank Seravalli has reported that Fleury will be signing a 1-year deal with the Wild.
Big news: Marc-Andre Fleury is signing a 1-year extension with #mnwild at $2.5 million.
Fleury turns 40 in November. Flower climbed to second all-time in wins (561) last season and with 21 more games, can pass Roy and Luongo for second all-time in games played by a goaltender.
It looks like fans will get another year of Marc-Andre Fleury, and he has a chance to break some all-time records in what is likely going to be his final season in the NHL.
Next year will be the last
