Connor McDavid Hires Auston Matthews' Agent
Connor McDavid's former agent Jeff Jackson was recently hired as the Edmonton Oilers' new CEO of Hockey Operations.
While this is pretty routine news, who McDavid hired to replace him is raising some eyebrows.
McDavid will remain with his current agency, Wasserman Hockey, and has elected to be represented by two of their agents.
Adam Phillips, who will manage McDavid's endorsement deals, and Judd Muldaver, who will be his primary agent.
Jackson represents Connor McDavid. The release says Connor is staying with
@wassermanhockey and is now represented by Judd Moldaver (who also reps Auston Matthew's)
Muldaver is a big name in hockey, specifically for fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This news will obviously bring some excitement to Leafs fans, as McDavid's contract will expire in 3 years.
It's impossible to say what the situation in Toronto might be at that time.
But, this is a clear connection between the best player in the NHL and the Leafs, which is more than nothing, and Leafs fans can be hopeful that they might be able to snag hometown Connor McDavid when he becomes available.
