While fighting is usually reserved for skaters, sometimes goalies get in on the action. It's always a crazy clip when they do.
Goalie Knocked Out in ECHL Fight
The ECHL is always an interesting league. It doesn't have the pure skill of the AHL or the NHL, but it is a massive tier above the SPHL and FPHL.
Because of this, while it is still a high level of competition, there are a lot of crazy fights.
In a game between the Fort Wayne Komets, and the Wheeling Nailers, goalies Ryan Fanti and Brad Barone battled at centre ice.
Fanti, who is currently on an NHL contract with the Edmonton Oilers, absolutely obliterated his competition, knocking him out cold.
He may never make the NHL, but he'll be one of the most feared netminders in the minors.
