Massive Update in Calgary for Head Coach Darryl Sutter
It's no secret that Darryl Sutter doesn't have the respect of the room anymore. His outdated coaching methods have detached him from his team.
It now looks, however, that new blood may come behind the bench in Calgary.
Sutter to be Fired?
It's an incredibly difficult situation in Calgary right now. They just got approval for a massive $1.2-billion arena deal, Jonathan Huberdeau's $10.5-million annual extension kicks in next season, and while the team is aging and deteriorating every year, they don't even have playoff success to make up for it.
A big reason for this is head coach Darryl Sutter, who seems to have sucked the life out of Huberdeau, and to have lost the respect of many players.
Per insider Evan Renaerts, despite him having just signed a big extension, head coach Darryl Sutter may be on his way out.
Sutter is still a very highly-regarded man in the hockey industry, but it definitely looks like his tenure in Calgary is coming to an end.
Now it's time to find out if he was the problem, or it really is the guys on the ice who can't get it done.
