The Scotiabank Saddledome is old and falling apart, and fans have wanted it to either get renovated or relocated. A report suggested that $1,377,500 in repairs to the Saddledome across 30 different projects are needed through 2024.
A new arena would fit perfectly in Calgary, given the current situation of the Flames. After a disapointing season, maybe a new home and atmosphere will get the fans and players pumped up for the next season.
With new management, expect the roster to change a decent amount for the 2023-24 season. If they can tweak just a few things in their lineup and get solid goaltending (call up Dustin Wolf), the Flames are easily a top team in the pacific division.
