Drafted 50th overall in the franchise altering 2006 NHL draft (where Boston equally picked up Phil Kessel and Brad Marchand), Milan Lucic spent over a decade as one of the most feared enforcers in the NHL.
While he isn't the 60-point guy he was in his prime, he's still a force on the ice, and he's incredibly difficult to play against.
Making $5.25-million on the salary cap (including 750k retained by the Edmonton Oilers), it wouldn't have been an easy deal, but per Elliotte Friedman, the Bruins attempted a reunion with their former second rounder.
On an episode of the 32 Thoughts podcast, Friedman was going over some weird trade rumours:
While the deadline is over, and the Bruins already added what it could take to win another Stanley Cup, a reunion would have been a lot of fun for the Bruins at least.
