There is no room for attempting to hurt another play, especially given the Adam Johnson incident in the UK, where he got kicked in the neck by the opposing team's skate. Well now, fans across the league are accusing Pittsburgh Penguins forward Michael Bunting for attempting to kick Brad Marchand with his skate.
In a play where Bunting was skating, he was seen falling, but that is not the issue here. The forward was seen exaggerating his motion of moving his foot, in a possible attempt to hurt Brad Marchand.
It was indeed a reckless play that could've had extreme consequences shall it happened, but I am not convinced that Bunting's intent was to injure Brad Marchand to that type of gravity, instead, I think Bunting lost his motion and really meant to just fall.
