Patrice Bergeron finally answers rumors about his Bruins comeback
In recent days there has been growing speculation that former Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron is ramping up for a return to the NHL. Today a source provided an update on these rumors straight from Bergeron himself.
A report on X from Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald has confirmed the future of Patrice Bergeron. Conroy personally reached out to Bergeron to find out if there was any truth to the rumors of his return. Bergeron's message back was short and definitive.
In case anyone wanted to know, I asked Patrice Bergeron about his «comeback». Via text, he responded «I am NOT making a comeback.» His emphasis on the «NOT.» Carry on.
This puts the Bergeron rumors out of the realm of possibility. It was fun to speculate for a couple of days on the return of Bergeron. Now with that out of the question the Bruins will need to turn their attention back to the trade market to address their center needs.
