Bergeron Helps Announce Boston's Newest Captain

Patrice Bergeron has made a surprise appearance as he helped PWHL Boston announce their very first captain, Hilary Knight!





Knight, a 34-year-old veteran, is one of the most accomplished hockey players of all time. She has won 9 World Championships with Team USA captaining the most recent one as well as winning an Olympic gold medal. She has previously played for two Boston hockey teams in the Boston Blades of the CWHL and captaining the Boston Pride of the NWHL>

Both Knight and Bergeron are future Hall-of-Famers and deservedly so. This is a symbolic passing of the torch from Bergeron to Knight to let her know that Boston is now her city.
