Team Canada made a lineup change thanks to an injury to Josh Morrissey as well as shaking things up by taking out Brad Marchand.

Ahead of Canada's second game of the Olympics against Switzerland, Jon Cooper is making some changes thanks to an untimely injury as well as trying to install some more speed and pep in the lineup.
Cooper has revealed that Josh Morrissey -- who suffered an injury vs. Czechia, would not be playing and instead Travis Sanheim would draw in. Meanwhile, Brad Marchand sits for Canada while Seth Jarvis makes his Olympic debut:
Logan Thompson gets the start over Jordan Binnington as Cooper wants to make sure he has a balanced goaltending tandem going forward.
The status of Morrissey’s injury is unclear, but if he is unable to return, his roster spot can not be replaced after Canada officially registered 25 players on Feb. 10. which is an unfortunate turn of events considering it was only game one.
Marchand did contribute one point in Canada's 5-0 win over Czechia, but only skated in 9:29 of ice-time and was more of a non-factor down the line.

Canada still has plenty of firepower in quest for Olympic gold

Jarvis' Olympic debut comes off the heels of a solid season thus far in Carolina with 43 points in 49 games (25 goals, 18 assists) and perhaps Cooper wants to add a lot more goal-scoring alongside Bo Horvat and Sam Reinhart, while also making sure Jarvis isn't left out of the action.
Switzerland is no team to take lightly either as they've had the Canadians number for the past few games at least when it comes to the World Championship so they can never be counted out.
If Canada can withstand a strong Swiss onslaught, they have one more preliminary game against Team France on Sunday before they prepare themselves for the quarterfinals -- and hopefully much more.
