Many teams are in need of a head coach and an insider has linked Sheldon Keefe to an Eastern Conference rival believing they are waiting to see if he is fired.

Rival Waiting To Poach Keefe

Sheldon Keefe is a player's coach who is known for his ability to help young stars grow. This is an attractive asset to any team looking to get some more out of their young players.
On the 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman revealed what he thought the New York Rangers were doing.
Friedman started off by stating how he thought if the Rangers wanted, they could bring in John Hynes or Peter Laviolette. He then went into how he thought the Rangers could be waiting on an unknown candidate.
Keefe to the Rangers makes a lot of sense. The Rangers need more out of Alexis Lafreniere and Kaapo Kakko. Keefe could instill a system that brings the best out of these two and see them finally flourish into their high potential. If they do, we could see the Rangers become even more of the powerhouse.
Nonetheless, the Eastern Conference will be a bloodbath in 2023-24 and we can expect the Leafs and the Rangers to place their claim towards being the best team in the NHL.
