The Future is Now

Veteran goalie Thomas Greiss, will not be returning to St. Louis next season.
The 37 year old goalie has decided to test the free agent market, as the Blues are expected to call up Joel Hofer to complete the duo with Jordan Binnington.
Greiss suited up in 21 games and carried a 7-10-0 record with the team along with a 3.51GAA and 1 shutout. The veteran will be a great short-term option for teams needing a quality goaltender.
Hofer finished 2nd in wins in the AHL last season and was expected to compete full time with Binnington this season.

Controversial Past

Greiss faced some controversy in 2021 when he posted on social media honouring conservative political commentator Rush Limbaugh following his passing from lung cancer.
Limbaugh who was known for making outrageous claims on his radio shows over the years. Since the incident Greiss has not been selected to represent Germany at any World Championship with his last appearance being in 2017.
