The Detroit Red Wings announced today that they have signed former Leaf Michael Hutchinson to a one-year deal for the remainder of the Season. The Deal is a Two-Way deal, and will give the Red Wings a formidable depth goaltender should they need him.
Hutchinson has played all over since his NHL career began in 2013. He originally started his career in Winnipeg, before heading to Florida for a year. He then spent time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and a brief stint with the Avalanche before returning to the Leafs.
He spent last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets. During these seasons, Hutchinson played most of his games in the AHL, but was always able to find himself in the lineup for a few NHL games.
