If the Arizona Coyotes do not pay their outstanding debts to the City by December 20, Glendale and arena staff will deny players and employees admission to the facility. They will lose access to their home venue, Gila River Arena, which is owned by Glendale. Imagine the team being homeless and unable to play local games.
Arizona Hockey LLC, the Coyotes' owner, received the demand letter today. Unpaid taxes totaling over $1.3 million go back to last season.
Did we mention they have two weeks?
The Coyotes return to Arizona on December 23 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Tonight's ultimatum gets a lot of reaction!
