The Leafs confirmed that they are keeping veterans Morgan Rielly, Jake Muzzin, and T.J. Brodie. Rielly recently inked an eight-year, $60 million agreement, so they're unlikely to be traded.
The Islanders are reportedly interested in acquiring Dermott, Timothy Liljegren, Justin Holl, and Rasmus Sandin.
Dermott has two years remaining on his deal with a $1.5 million cap cost after hurting his foot blocking a shot against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
