"It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my father, Mike Bossy. He left us on the night of April 15, and he is no longer suffering. My father loved field hockey, of course, but first and foremost, he loved life. And until the end of his journey, he held on. He wanted to live more than anything. This life, which he held at the end of his arms, decided otherwise, for reasons that escape us. We would like to thank each and every one of you who gave him your kind thoughts and love: his family and friends, his colleagues at TVA and his supporters. We are grateful to the oncology teams at Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal and Hôpital de la Cité-de-la-Santé de Laval for accompanying him through his treatments. Finally, we thank the palliative care/home support team of the Thérèse-de Blainville CISSS who looked after him with such kindness.
It is a great loss for all of us. Mike was a father, grandfather, husband, friend and a remarkable athlete. He was a hero to many from the beginning to the end. Dad, your presence will have touched us forever. We will continue to love you and carry you in our thoughts, day after day and forever.
Continue to laugh, have fun and love life where you rest now." Tanya Bossy, on behalf of the Bossy family
Our deepest condolences to the entire family.
