In case you missed it last night, the Colorado Avalanche defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-1 in Game 1 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs first round series.

It was an incredible game with beautiful goals, huge hits, great saves, and, well, mayhem.
Check out Avs captain Gabriel Landeskog completely destroying Blues forward Brayden Schenn early in the first period:
The real highlights though came from Avs stud Nathan MacKinnon though as he put up two goals and an assist for a three point night to open up his playoff campaign.

And with that third point of the guy MacKinnon joins some pretty elite company in the NHL's all-time points per game playoff rankings, passing the likes of Mark Messier and Bobby Orr, while trailing a couple shlubs named Lemieux and Gretzky.
