After retiring, Oduya has isn't shy anymore, including former colleagues. In a recent interview in his own nation, he was asked who his least favourite teammate was.
Evander Kane, he says. Oduya said he hadn't had any run-ins with Kane, but he seemed to suck the locker room's vitality.
"He's got a bad attitude, I'd say," explained Oduya. "I don't have a problem with people who have a big ego, but there's a difference between an ego where you want to do something, to win, to be the center of attention and all those things but you're still a good teammate. That's important."
"You need your team. And with that there was always some kind of... I don't know, it was really weird. A strange feeling," continued Oduya. "I'm not saying he's a bad person, because I don't know him that well, but there was always some kind of resistance there. The team spirit wasn't good."
