Renaud Lavoie had some interesting points today while talking about Marc Bergevin.
"My conclusion: Geoff Molson doesn't want Marc Bergevin to be his general manager anymore because if he didn't, it would be settled a long time ago." - Renaud Lavoie
His opinion comes from the fact that Bergevin seems to want to stay with the club, he who has the organization very much at heart. It would not, however, according to Lavoie, Geoff Molson's idea.
"He gives the impression that he cares about his team. The Montreal Canadiens is his organization, he's the captain of the ship. He wants to stay with the Canadiens."
"It takes two people to dance," continued Lavoie. Whatever is proposed by Geoff Molson, it doesn't do the trick. Why doesn't it work? Because there is a market. There are specific salaries that are given to general managers." - Renaud Lavoie
