Former WJC Player Passes Away At 26
Michele Basso passed away at 26 years old after a long battle with a disease.
Former Italian World Junior Championship member, and Italian league defenseman, Michele Basso has unfortunately passed away at the age of 26 after a long battle with a disease.
Basso played in the Italian League and scored an impressive 23 points in 21 games. He also played in the premier Italian men's league.
Unfortunately, a major illness forced the player to retire from hockey. He died from the same illness seven years later.
