Scandal In College Hockey

Western University is facing a unique problem. The Women's hockey team is staging a player-lead boycott of their upcoming game against Ontario Tech. The boycott is seen as a last resort from the players whose allegations of improper conduct against head coach Candice Moxley and conditioning coach Jeff Watson have gone unaddressed.

Multiple players have made allegations of improper conduct against head coach Candice Moxley and Western's strength and conditioning coach Jeff Watson.

Allegations made by players against Moxley include claims that she pressured players to play through injuries and did not act when players told her about Watson's alleged misconduct. Also allegations that Moxley did not act following multiple complaints from players that they were being sexually harassed by Watson.

The players claim that Moxley has forced them to play through injuries and intentionally ignored claims made against Watson. Moxley was recently reinstated as head coach of the team after the university completed their own independent investigation. Clearly, the players do not believe the investigation was taken seriously.
