The Montreal Canadiens had an intense battle with the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. Things got heated and a fight broke out after a dirty hit.

Jeannot Lays A Dirty Hit On Canadiens Young Star

Tanner Jeannot is known for being a tough guy and physical presence. He solidified this reputation with a massive hit on Canadiens star Juraj Slafkovsky. After the hit Jeannot had to answer the bell from who else but Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj.

The fight was brought on by Xhekaj who chased down Jeannot. The result though was far from what Xhekaj was expecting.

Jeannot Teaches Xhekaj A Hard Lesson In Intense Fight

After the two engaged Tanner Jeannot proceeded to dominate the ensuing fight. Jeannot is one of the first players to totally neutralize Xhekaj in a fight. To this point, Xhekaj was feared by many but Jeannot put him in his place as a young player.

While Xhekaj didn't win the fight he continues to prove his value as a personal protector to the stars of the Canadiens. This won't be the last fight that Xhekaj gets taught a lesson in and will have no fear of coming back again in the next one.

Much like Xhekaj the Canadiens will have to find a way to bounce back after losing the game 5-3 to the Lightning.
