Jim Rutherford gets his revenge on Bruce Boudreau from 1977
While they are much older now, Bruce Boudreau and Jim Rutherford had shared NHL ice before.
Once Jim Rutherford fired Bruce Boudreau, it was released that Boudreau scored his first NHL goal, in 1977, on Rutherford!
It is definitely odd to see these guys, now in their late-60s and early-70s skating as pros, and it equally brings to mind the possibility that we could one day see legends of today behind the bench, or in the front office.
So, while Boudreau may not be working for the Canucks any longer, he will always have the upper hand of scoring on his former boss.
