Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi posted a loving tribute to former teammate Jake Patterson, who tragically passed away at only 31 years old.

It's always sad to hear about a player passing away, and the majority of the time those headlines are reserved for those who have gone through life and have reached an advanced age; though that's tragically not always the case.
Jake Patterson, a former London Knights player, suddenly passed away on October 16th, leaving behind his partner Chelsea, and three-and-a-half year old son Luca.

Domi Shares Emotional Tribute On Instagram

It was a shock to everyone including Patterson's former London Knights teammate Max Domi, who posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram:
So many incredible memories with our team. You will be missed, Patty

The London Knights also posted a tribute to their former goaltender on social media:
Domi also included an announcement for Patterson's Celebration of Life, which will commence this weekend, and there is expected to be a crowd full of friends, family, old colleagues and teammates.
Coincidentally, goaltender Anthony Stolarz of the Maple Leafs also played with Patterson in their junior career, and while he was certainly never a focal point; his incredible clutch performances endeared him to the entire Knights fanbase.
Spending three seasons with the London Knights, he posted a career record of 43-17-5 while also winning the OHL Championship once.
It's a very sad time in the hockey world with the knowledge of Jake Patterson's passing, and Max Domi's tribute is one of many that are sure to pour out over the next coming days.
There is also a GoFundMe for Patterson's son, and can click the following link if you wish to donate.
We here at Hockey Patrol would like to offer our sincere condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Jake Patterson during this difficult time.
