According to a story told by a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mitch Marner once snubbed him at an autograph signing opportunity, calling him out for being a bigot.
While there's no way to either confirm or deny this story at this point in time, if true, it's a very bad look on the part of Marner and the Maple Leafs, especially as the NHL continue to promote their 'Hockey is for Everyone' slogan. As of right now, the story has just under 23,000 views, so while we may never know the truth, if more stories come out like this one, it could be very bad for Marner, who has seemingly been a fantastic role model on and off the ice throughout his tenure in the NHL.
On the ice this season, Marner has been fantastic once again, tallying 14 goals and 38 points in just 33 games played, and if he continues this solid play into the playoffs, this is no doubt a team that will be looking at the Stanley Cup Finals in 2023-24.
