The Maple Leafs secured a rare win in regulation tonight against the Ottawa Senators. However, the game was not without controversy.

The Lights only went out for a couple of seconds, but it was more than long enough for fans watching on TV to notice.

Senators Light Operators Trying To Sabotage Maple Leafs?

Some believe that someone in the building was intentionally trying to sabotage the Leafs as the Senators had possession of the puck in the offensive zone when the lights flickered off.

One former NHL player stated that the league needs to look into the incident. Although it does come across as a joke, the timing of the lights going out is indeed suspicious.

The Senators will likely ignore this as a non-issue. Expect to hear the team make some kind of statement blaming faulty wiring or something of that nature. That would be somewhat on brand for the Senators anyways.
