Leafs and Nylander on Same Page Regarding Extension in Toronto
William Nylander is one of the Leafs' most valuable forwards in the NHL, especially given he is on a deal right now for under 7 million dollars. The talk of the offseason was how the Leafs wanted to deal with Nylander's contract, whether that was trading him, treating him as an "owned rental", or signing him to an extension.
Now, we have an important update on the status of Nylander's contract negotiations.
"I can tell you from what I'm surmising is that everyone is on the same page as far as wanting to continue this dialogue and find that breakthrough and get that extension done for William Nylander."
