BREAKING: Connor McDavid Takes a Stand Against the NHL and Gary Bettman
Tonight, during the Edmonton Oilers pre-game warmup, Connor McDavid decided to take a stand against Gary Bettman.
McDavid Sends a Strong Message Across the League
During the warmup session, McDavid used pride tape on his stick. The NHL had originally banned the use of that tape, but did nothing when a player decided to go against that rule.
McDavid joins a growing list of players who have defied the NHL's stance on pride tape.
If the NHL is unwilling to enforce rules that many already find absurd, perhaps it's time for the league to reconsider it. Allowing players to support causes would only make the league a safer place.
