Blue Jackets Reportedly Willing To Trade Almost Anyone On Current Roster
The Columbus Blue Jackets have been miserably bad this year. Now the team is reportedly considering trading away anyone that other teams express interest in.
Blue Jackets Willing To Trade Everything Not Nailed Down
NHL insider Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reported today that the Blue Jackets are 'willing to discuss a trade on just about anybody.' Such a move would not be that surprising considering how bad the team has been over the last couple of seasons.
This report would seem to indicate that even star players like Jonny Gaudreau and Patrik Laine are on the table. In fact, they may be the first players to leave as the team enters full rebuild mode.
There is actually an article that comes with that pic that Gaudreau is on the trade block, we are pretty much open to hear any deals. Now is Jarmo actually going to do it, that's another story.
Blue Jackets Upper Management In Trouble With Ownership
Garrioch also reported that Blue Jackets ownership is not particularly pleased with the state of the team. He believes that the front office will take the brunt of the blame, considering some of the moves they tried to pass off in recent years. Not least among them the whole Mike Babcock ordeal.
(Babcock was) Shown the door before he could even step behind the bench after players complained Babcock was checking their phones during camp, the heat has been turned up high on president of hockey operations John Davidson and general manager Jarmo Kekalainen.
Clearly, the team's front office does not know how to run the team effectively. It sounds like they may be reaping what they sowed soon.
