Veteran Goaltender Suddenly Leaves the NHL

It was announced earlier today that Anton Khudobin, a veteran goaltender with fourteen seasons in the NHL, was leaving the league.

During his career, he played 260 games and had a record of 114-92-33 split between Minnesota, Boston, Carolina, Anaheim, Dallas, and Chicago. He also achieved impressive personal statistics, with a goal-against average of 2.52, a save percentage of .916, and 11 shutouts.

Now that he's 37 years old, he'll pursue his career elsewhere.

Khudobin Will Play in the KHL

According to his agent, there were not a lot of jobs available in the KHL, but talks of signing with Lada are ongoing.

"When Anton decided to play in the KHL, goalkeepers had been signed to almost all teams. Now we will negotiate with Lada. We agreed with the sports director of the club, Rafik Yakubov, to return to this issue next week."

More details will follow.
