Top Insider Lists The Leafs Amongst The Five Finalists For Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane will be signing a contract in the near future and an insider has just narrowed down the list to five potential teams including the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Johnson Lists Leafs As Kane Finalists

The Patrick Kane saga has been one closely followed by NHL fans all around the league with the hope of him potentially signing with them. He is nearing a full recovery and is expected to be playing within the month but he will need to choose his team before he leaves.

Insider Chris Johnston has just released an article on what he is hearing about Patrick Kane and the five teams that have a shot to land him, one of which is the Leafs.



Johnston writes the following on Kane and the Leafs as a potential fit:

Undoubtedly Patrick Kane would be an exciting addition for the Leafs. However, their right wings already include William Nylander and Mitch Marner but if they were to decide to move either to center or right wing we could see a dominant top nine.

Say they were to move Nylander to center, we could them lineup like this:


This would make the Leafs top nine one of the most formidable in NHL history and could be what they need to get over the hump and finally bring home the Stanley Cup!
