The Vegas Golden Knights are Sparking Controversy Regarding Jack Eichel

The Vegas Golden Knights had a fantastic debut in the NHL last year. They appeared in the Stanley Cup finals in their first season, it appeared that everyone wanted to play for Vegas and that spirits were high for Vegas.

These high spirits and the desire for victory brought the sacrifice of a lot of important players, for example, Max Pacioretty who costed the team Nick Suzuki. Mark Stone is another example that costed the team Erik Brannstrom. These trades contributed to the eventual downfall of Vegas' reputation

New players are not being treated as well as they seemed. The beautiful fireworks and ceremonies appealed to fans, but the team won't think twice before getting rid of a player. Marc-Andre Fleury, Max Pacioretty, Evgenii Dadonov and their former head coach Gerard Gallant are a few examples.

Simply put, the Knights have made great sacrifices to win, but they still can't seem to win. Vegas can rarely seem to win a trade, one trade in particular has caught the attention of fans.


When Jack Eichel was traded to Vegas, everyone thought that the Knights had won the trade. The deal was:

To Vegas: Jack Eichel and a conditional third round pick in the 2023 draft

To Buffalo: Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch, a conditional first round pick in the 2022 draft and a conditional second round pick in the 2023 draft.

If you compare the stats that Tuch and Eichel are putting up with Buffalo, it is clear that Buffalo won the trade.


Vegas might regret this trade for a long time, considering that Eichel is doing worse with Vegas than Tuch and Eichel are doing with Buffalo.
