Sheldon Keefe Confirms that a Key Player is Injured

During a recent Leafs practice, Noel Acciari was absent. His absence left fans wondering who was practicing with his linemates Zach Aston-Reese and Sam Lafferty. It was revealed that Owen Robinson from the University of Toronto's Men's Hockey Team filled in for Acciari.

Acciari is Injured



After the practice, Keefe provided the reports with an update on Acciari's status. Keefe explained that Acciari is currently listed as day-to-day. He has confirmed that Acciari will not be playing in the upcoming match against Florida. Keefe confirmed that due to Acciari's absence, the Leafs will be using their 11 forward and 7 defenseman setup that has been heavily criticized, along with all the other experimental lines Keefe has been using.

Keefe did not explain if Acciari's injury is related to a recent hit he took during a game against Carolina or if it was due to something else. It is still unknown if it is an upper-body or a lower-body injury.
