Samsonov Explains Injury Scare During Last Night's Warmup
BY MACKENZIE STERN-KOLESNIKOW MARCH 8, 2023 (10:01)
Samsonov Still Puts Up a Great Performance
Samsonov ended up playing a great game, especially during the first period when the Devils dominated the puck and outshot the Leafs 15-5.
Samsonov was asked about the warmup incident. He explained that Nylander's shot hit him in the balls and that he just needed to catch his breath and was fine to play the rest of the game. Despite how painful that must have been, it did not stop Nylander from making a few amazing saves early in the game, which helped the Leafs in their 4-3 victory against the Devils.
Samsonov has until Monday to recover from this scare!
