Former NHLer John Scott is infamous for his NHL All-Star appearance. Scott was voted in by the fans in 2016 despite being mostly in the AHL that season. Now Scott is returning to the NHL in a new role.

John Scott has reportedly signed with NBC Sports Chicago for the upcoming season.

Scott will join the Blackhawks broadcast team and bring a new combination of expertise and humor.

Scott Becomes The Latest Former NHL To Turn To Television

John Scott becomes the latest in a long line of former NHLers to become an analyst. Many have been fantastic but just as many have been bad. The jury will be out on Scott for the first few months of his tenure behind the mic.

Scott does have a media background since retiring. He is a host of a podcast called "Dropping The Gloves" along with other prominent NHL players.
