The BIG10 Player of the Year Award is given to the most valuable player in the BIG10 section of the NCAA.

While his competition is steep, especially with Luke Hughes dominating in his sophomore season, Knies has a solid chance at the role.
It would sure be an incredible way to end his college career before making the NHL jump as soon as a few weeks from now.
